Baseball Recap: Germantown Mavericks vs. Madison Central Jaguars

After flying high against Quitman last Thursday, Germantown came back down to earth. The Mavericks fell 5-2 to the Madison Central Jaguars on Tuesday. If the Mavericks were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Jaguars when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Germantown got a good showing from Brayden Simpson, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Simpson has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.
