Basketball Recap: Rivercrest Comes Up Short on the Road Against Westside

Rivercrest had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 72-35 loss at the hands of the Westside Warriors. The Colts have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Landon Webb had a dynamite game For Westside., shooting 50% from the field en route to 19 points and four steals. Koby Thompson was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.

Coming up, Rivercrest is taking a road trip to take on Palestine-Wheatley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Westside, they will welcome Buffalo Island Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
