 Owensville is 4-0 against Steelville since May of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Monday. The Owensville Dutchmen will look to defend their home field  against the Steelville Cardinals at 4:30  p.m. The pair are strolling into their  games after big wins in their previous games.
 Owensville is hoping to deliver their fans another blowout  on Monday, just like they did against Vienna (and have done all season long). Owensville was the clear victor by  a  10-3 margin over Vienna on Tuesday. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Owensville.
  Chase Weirich made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Weirich has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Weirich was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Layne Evans was a standout: he scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Logan Bailey, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Steelville scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Belle  a   12-0 shutout. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded Steelville with their most commanding win of the  season.
 Owensville's victory  ended  a  seven-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 10-13. As for Steelville, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.
 Owensville took their  victory against Steelville  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2021 by a conclusive  11-1. Will Owensville repeat their success,  or does  Steelville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
