Basketball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Southeast's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Southeast unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak dating back to last season on Saturday. They fell 54-46 to the Burns Broncs. The loss was the Cyclones' first of the season.

TJ Moats and Ayden Desmond certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Moats dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while Desmond went 7 of 9 on his way to 18 points. Moats is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Even though they lost, Southeast was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Southeast fell to 3-1. As for Burns, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

When Southeast and Burns next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Southeast will try to stop Encampment's three-game winning streak when the meet on Friday. Similarly, Burns will try to stop Powell's three-game winning streak when the meet at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
