Volleyball Recap: Nipomo Titans vs. St. Joseph Knights
If Nipomo was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lompoc last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans fell 3-1 to the St. Joseph Knights on Tuesday. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: St. Joseph scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 20-25, 25-20.
Nipomo's offense was headlined by Tasi Maumausolo Matagi and Addison Stegenga, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Raelynn Ortiz and her 36 assists. Stegenga was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.
