The Payson Longhorns will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Northwest Christian Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Payson gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 57-16 victory over Chino Valley.
Payson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chloe Hancock, who scored 13 points along with 6 steals. Hannah Sarnowski was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Northwest Christian beat Rancho Solano Prep 34-27 two weeks ago.
Payson's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Northwest Christian, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 1-0.
