Sandburg came tearing into Saturday's contest with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Brother Rice Crusaders. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Crusaders back in April, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Jeremiah Aro paced Sandburg's offense, picking up 14 kills. Aro got some help from Easton Donausky and his 36 assists. Aro was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Ryne Collins and Paul Baker certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Collins had 11 digs and two assists, while Baker had four digs and one assist.

Sandburg's win bumped their record up to 25-3. As for Brother Rice, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 25-6 record.

Sandburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Downers Grove North on the 10th. As for Brother Rice, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Wheaton-Warrenville South on the 10th.
