Softball Recap: South Caldwell Makes It 18 in a Row at Home

South Caldwell put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the A.C. Reynolds Rockets 12-1. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rockets, too.

South Caldwell's victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for A.C. Reynolds, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Caldwell will head out to take on Cannon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for A.C. Reynolds, they are taking a road trip to challenge West Henderson at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. West Henderson knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully A.C. Reynolds likes a good challenge.
