Football Recap: El Monte Lions vs. Arroyo Knights
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask El Monte). Everything went their way against the Arroyo Knights on Wednesday as they made off with a 24-0 win. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Lions were the (much) better team in the second half.
El Monte's victory bumped their record up to 2-3-1. As for Arroyo, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. El Monte will square off against rival Covina at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Arroyo is set to take on their familiar foe Gabrielino at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
