Soccer Recap: Burges Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Burges kept a clean sheet against Chapin on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Chapin Huskies by a score of 2-0. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Huskies are ranked 432nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Alfonso Flores and Ian Padilla scored both of Burges' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.

Burges' win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those seven games. As for Chapin, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-11 record.
