Volleyball Recap: Grayson Rams vs. Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs
Grayson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldoggs earlier this season, when they won 2-0.
The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-22.
Milan Cannon paced Grayson's offense, picking up 11 kills. Cannon got some help from Sydney Pitts and her 17 assists.
Grayson's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Winder-Barrow, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Coincidentally, Grayson and Winder-Barrow will both be playing Duluth the next time they take the court. The Bulldoggs will head out to face the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Rams will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
