Football Game Recap: Columbia vs. Annville-Cleona

Annville-Cleona were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Columbia 56-8. Annville-Cleona have a history of success against Columbia, winning their last head-to-head 42-12.

Annville-Cleona started the game off right with 35 first-half points. Meanwhile, Columbia couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 35-0 heading into the break. The Annville-Cleona defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest. The match brought Annville-Cleona to 4-1 and dropped Columbia to a mirror-image 1-4.

Annville-Cleona will look to defend their home turf next week against Lancaster Catholic at 7:00 PM. Each team will be battling to keep their 4-game winning streak alive. As for Columbia, they will face off against Lebanon. Both of those teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
