Northwestern Regional won the last time they faced Lakeview and things went their way on Friday too. The Highlanders were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Warriors. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Highlanders.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 26-24, 25-23.

Mya Withee paced Northwestern Regional's offense, picking up eight kills. Withee got some help from Josephine Quinto and her ten assists. Quinto was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Northwestern Regional's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Northwestern Regional will take on rival Housatonic at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Lakeview is set to square off against their familiar foe Nonnewaug at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
