Baseball Recap: Struthers Takes a Loss

Struthers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 15-3 to the West Branch Warriors. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Anthony Pastella made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Struthers' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 5-17 when he doesn't).

Struthers' loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for West Branch, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-16.

Looking ahead, Struthers will challenge Beaver Local at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for West Branch, they will head out to square off against Boardman at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
