Softball Recap: Natchitoches Central's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Natchitoches Central won the last time they faced Haughton and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Chiefs walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Buccaneers. The win was familiar territory for the Chiefs, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Not much got past Sydney Terrell, who gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks to keep Haughton off the board.

On the hitting side, Natchitoches Central's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lila Robertson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Natchitoches Central's record now sits at 10-14. As for Haughton, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Natchitoches Central will take on Ouachita Parish in a tournament on Friday. As for Haughton, they will head out to challenge Airline at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
