Basketball Recap: Hokes Bluff Eagles vs. Sand Rock Wildcats
The Hokes Bluff Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight defeat. Their rough 66-41 loss to Sand Rock might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Hokes Bluff can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Wildcats are ranked 75th).
Katelyn St.clair was her usual excellent self, shooting 5-for-13 from long range and almost dropping a double-double on 29 points and nine rebounds for Sand Rock. St.clair is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Kennedy Henderson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds.
Hokes Bluff has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Sand Rock, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-7.
Hokes Bluff does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sand Rock also has no future games currently scheduled.
