Lincoln Southeast had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Benson Bunnies an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Lincoln Southeast, who have now won five games by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Benson from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Davis Kalnins led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

Lincoln Southeast pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six contests. As for Benson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
