Soccer Game Preview: Baker vs. Rockvale

The Baker Hornets will be taking part in a tournament against Rockvale at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Baker is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alabama's top teams: Davidson, who was ranked 13th at the time (Baker was ranked 15th). The Hornets fell 4-2 to the Warriors on Tuesday. That makes it the first time this season Baker have let down their home crowd.

Meanwhile, Rockvale had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Everything went their way against the Jaguars as they made off with a 6-1 victory. Aidan Sinclair was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Rockvale's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those five matchups. As for Baker, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4-1.
