Softball Recap: Ouachita Parish Takes a Loss

After flying high against Ruston last Thursday, Ouachita Parish came back down to earth. Ouachita Parish fell just short of D'Arbonne Woods by a score of 8-6 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Lions have suffered since February 18th.

Madisyn Lenard was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Taylor Madison, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Ouachita Parish's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for D'Arbonne Woods, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Ouachita Parish will host Calvary Baptist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for D'Arbonne Woods, they are taking a road trip to face off against Parkway at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
