Volleyball Recap: Buchtel Griffins vs. Oberlin The Phoenix
Buchtel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Oberlin The Phoenix .
The final score came out to 25-6, 25-13.
Oberlin found their leader in underclassman Lucinda Ulichney, who had nine aces and six digs. The dominant performance gave Ulichney a new career-high in aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Joanna Tatum, who had six kills and four aces.
Buchtel's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Oberlin, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buchtel will face off against East at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oberlin, they are on the road again on Tuesday to play Black River at 6:30 p.m.
