Basketball Recap: First Coast Takes a Loss

First Coast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Eagle's View Warriors, falling 62-30. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 528th, while the Warriors are ranked 254th).

First Coast's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Eagle's View, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-7 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, First Coast and Oakleaf will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Eagle's View, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Middleburg at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
