Baseball Game Preview: Warren Dragons vs. Erie Royals

The Warren Dragons will head out to take on the Erie Royals at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Warren and six for Erie.

Warren fell victim to Bradford and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Owls, falling 8-0.

Meanwhile, Erie also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 8-0 to Kempsville on Wednesday. The match marked the first time this year in which the Royals were not able to get on the board.

Erie saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Grucza, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one double. That double marked the first that Grucza has hit this season.

Erie's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Warren, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Warren came out on top in a nail-biter against Erie when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 10-8. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Royals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
