Post Falls has gone 9-1 against Lakeland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hawks at 3:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Post Falls blew Moscow out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Moscow got their revenge. The Trojans fell just short of the Bears by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trojans have suffered against the Bears since April 21, 2022.

Gavin Wienker was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed over his last four games.

At the plate, Kyler Cooley was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Brandon Morrison was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Lakeland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 9-2 to Lewiston.

Lakeland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tadgh Ellwood, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Post Falls has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10-1 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Lakeland, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.

Post Falls took their victory against Lakeland in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-0 score. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
