Softball Recap: Crystal City Comes Up Short

Crystal City lost against Cotulla back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Javelinas came up short against the Cowboys, falling 12-1. The Javelinas have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Crystal City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angela Luna, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Crystal City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Cotulla, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Crystal City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cotulla, they will venture away from home to square off against Somerset at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
