Meanwhile, Rocky River posted their closest win since February 22, 2024 on Saturday. They skirted past Normandy 36-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pirates have posted against the Invaders since January 27, 2021.

Rocky River's win came from a few key players Magnificat will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Elizabeth Lang, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Dewey, who posted seven points along with ten steals and six boards.

Rocky River smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Normandy only pulled down six offensive boards.

Rocky River has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Magnificat, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.

Everything came up roses for Magnificat against Rocky River in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 65-36 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Rocky River's Ava Patti, who put up 20 points and three steals.
