Baseball Recap: Discovery Gets the Win

Discovery's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mulberry Panthers, sneaking past 5-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-3 two weeks ago.

Discovery's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Mulberry, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Looking ahead, Discovery will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Lake Placid at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Dragons have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Mulberry, they will take on Ridge Community at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bolts have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.85 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
