Football Recap: Cold Springs Takes a Loss

Cold Springs dropped to 6-2 on Thursday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They took a blow against the Coosa Christian Conquerors, falling 41-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since November 8, 2024.

William Jackson threw for 58 yards on six of 16 attempts. Breydon Hallmon was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards. On the ground, Tycen Kilgo rushed for 31 yards and one score.

As for Coosa Christian, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.2 points on average over those games.

Coosa Christian found their leader in sophomore Halen Palmer, who picked up a sack and made 20 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
