Basketball Recap: ABF Academy Homestead Takes a Loss

The ABF Academy Homestead Bandits lost 82-57 to the True North Classical Academy Titans on Monday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead True North Classical Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Michael Vilmenay, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 19 points. With that strong performance, Vilmenay is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Boosie Swan, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 15 points and eight rebounds.

ABF Academy Homestead now has a losing record of 1-2. As for True North Classical Academy, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Looking ahead, ABF Academy Homestead will take on Gillion Academy in a tournament on Friday. The Bandits will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 65.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for True North Classical Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Palm Beach Central at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
