Volleyball Recap: Green Valley Starts Season with Loss at Home

Green Valley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to the El Dorado Golden Hawks on Friday. If the Gators were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Golden Hawks when the teams met back in September of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Green Valley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-23.

Alexis Delzer paced Green Valley's offense, picking up six kills. Delzer got some help from Clara Conrado and her 15 assists.

Green Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Sports Leadership & Management on the 15th. As for El Dorado, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Durango on the 15th.
