            Softball Recap: Riverview Sarasota Rams vs. North Port Bobcats        
        
		
        
        
            On Thursday Riverview Sarasota's undefeated season almost came to an end. They had just enough and edged out the North Port Bobcats  3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rams also won the last time the pair played  back in March of 2024.
 Allison Cole made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out 18 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than ten  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Sierra Lipton, who  scored a  run and  stole  Two bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most  stolen bases  she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Riverview Sarasota's pitching crew has only allowed 0.7  runs per game  this season, so Southeast's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for North Port, they will square off against Riverdale at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Riverdale knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  team has finished with ten runs or more in their past six games -- so hopefully North Port likes a good challenge.
