Football Recap: Deer Creek-Mackinaw Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Deer Creek-Mackinaw's offense. They had to suffer through a 44-0 loss at the hands of the Tri-Valley Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Chiefs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 274th, while the Vikings are ranked 128th).

Zack Day threw for 78 yards on 16 of 27 attempts. Parker Eggenberger was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards. On the ground, Shaun Denniston rushed for 41 yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Deer Creek-Mackinaw and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Tri-Valley, their victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Deer Creek-Mackinaw has already played their next contest (against Fieldcrest), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Tri-Valley also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against El Paso-Gridley.
