Basketball Recap: Lordsburg Takes a Loss

Lordsburg lost against Cobre back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mavericks were outmatched by the Indians and fell 76-38. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cobre to victory, but perhaps none more so than Izon Guck, who went 6-for-8 to rack up 15 points. Guck is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Zavin Guck was another key player, putting up nine points and four steals.

Lordsburg now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Cobre, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Lordsburg will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Silver at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cobre, they will challenge Mora at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
