Volleyball Recap: Simpson Academy Takes a Loss

Simpson Academy came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Madison-Ridgeland Academy Patriots, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-10, 25-20.

Keira Hariel had an outrageously good game for Madison-Ridgeland Academy as she had six digs and four aces. Hariel is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Macy Gladden, who had nine digs and five aces.

Simpson Academy dropped their record down to 5-12 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Madison-Ridgeland Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 28-15.

Coming up, Simpson Academy will head out to square off against Hartfield Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Madison-Ridgeland Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
