Corinth and Holmes County Central squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Corinth had to settle for second. They took a 20-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Holmes County Central Jaguars. The Warriors were red-hot offensively headed into the match (they scored no less than 31 points in the three matchups prior) but the Jaguars' defense proved too tough.
Garrison Davis was his usual excellent self, throwing for 302 yards and two touchdowns while completing 77.4% of his passes, and also rushing for 35 yards and a touchdown for Holmes County Central. Jartavious Smart was another key player, gaining 135 total yards and a touchdown.
