Baseball Recap: Colon Comes Up Short

Colon lost against Climax-Scotts back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Magi fell 4-1 to the Panthers. The match marked the Magi's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Colon's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Climax-Scotts, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Colon will head out on the road to challenge Bronson at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Magi's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Climax-Scotts, they will challenge Bellevue at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Panthers' favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Broncos have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
