Soccer Game Preview: Arcadia vs. Pioneer

The Arcadia Apaches will square off against the Pioneer Titans at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Arcadia's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While Arcadia's victory against Oakwood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Apaches sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over the Owls on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what Arcadia needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Pioneer was forced to settle for a draw. They and California finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Tuesday.

Arcadia's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1. Pioneer's draw gives them a new season record of 2-2-1.

Arcadia skirted past Pioneer 2-1 when the teams last played back in December of 2017. Will the Apaches repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
