The Frontier Titans will face off against the Centennial Golden Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Frontier 3.3, Centennial 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Frontier took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over Highland. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Taylor Sloss spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emma Parnell, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Baden Conley, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Centennial came up short against Stockdale on Friday and fell 8-4. The Golden Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leah Barboza and Alex Andersen did some serious damage despite the final result: Barboza went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Andersen went 1-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Frontier's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Frontier hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .324. However, it's not like Centennial struggles in that department as they've averaged .328. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Frontier was able to grind out a solid victory over Centennial in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 5-1. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Golden Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
