Basketball Recap: Reagan Meyers' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Superior over David City

Superior fought the good fight in their overtime contest against David City on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the David City Scouts by a score of 49-47. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Scouts apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Superior lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Reagan Meyers, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. She has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Halle Bargen, who posted seven points in addition to 15 boards and five assists.

Superior's record now sits at 15-4. As for David City, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-8.

Superior has already played their next matchup, a 43-42 victory against Centennial on the 8th. As for David City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-40 defeat against Thayer Central on the 6th.
