Basketball Game Preview: Firebaugh Eagles vs. Chavez Titans

The Firebaugh Eagles will take on the Chavez Titans in a tournament on Friday. Firebaugh is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Monday, Firebaugh might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Fresno an easy 62-40 win.

Meanwhile, Chavez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 67-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of McFarland. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (56), the Titans still had to take the loss.

Chavez's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-5. As for Firebaugh, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Firebaugh didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Chavez in their previous meeting back in December of 2018, but they still walked away with a 72-67 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Chavez's Adan Arredondo, who went 8 of 16 en route to 25 points along with seven assists and five boards.
