Softball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Calvary Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Faith Christian Academy Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 4-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Calvary Christian Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jenna Benjamin, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Calvary Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Faith Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian Academy will take on Dock Mennonite at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pioneers have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Faith Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Collegium Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
