Basketball Recap: Brunswick Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Brunswick Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 38-32 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southside Christian Patriots. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 36-30 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Southside Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ani Cowa, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Kaleigh Hardy, who put up ten points.

Brunswick Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Southside Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Both will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southside Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 39-19 win against Crossroads Christian Academy on the 17th.
