Basketball Recap: Bishop Carroll's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Bishop Carroll had won three straight games and Jace Casses did his part to make it four on Friday. Everything went the Bishop Carroll Huskies' way against the Richland Rams as the Bishop Carroll Huskies made off with an 87-64 win thanks in part to Casses, who went 20 for 32 on his way to 50 points and seven steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Bishop Carroll's points.

Will Tremel was another key player, putting up ten points along with eight rebounds and six assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in December of 2023.

Bishop Carroll pushed their record up to 6-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Richland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Bishop Carroll and Richland could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Bishop Carroll (ranked 369th) will meet Westmont Hilltop (ranked 54th) at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Richland will face off against Forest Hills at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday down 312 places (343 vs. 31).
