Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Kellogg couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Melba Mustangs by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Dani Henrikson paced Kellogg's offense, picking up 17 kills. Henrikson got some help from Gretah Angle and her 24 assists.

Kellogg's defeat dropped their record down to 21-2. As for Melba, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-11 record this season.

Kellogg has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Nampa Christian on the 31st. As for Melba, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against The Ambrose School on the 1st.
