Basketball Game Preview: Glidden-Ralston Wildcats vs. River Valley Wolverines

The Glidden-Ralston Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the River Valley Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Glidden-Ralston had to suffer through a 63-29 loss at the hands of Exira-EHK. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Spartans are ranked 95th).

Meanwhile, River Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 44-40 to Kingsley-Pierson. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

River Valley now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Glidden-Ralston, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
