Baseball Recap: Lamar Comes Up Short

Lamar's last matchup with Dover could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Warriors came up short against the Pirates, falling 12-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost five in a row.

Lamar saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kasen Humphrey, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Dover, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Lamar does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dover, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Dardanelle at 4:30 p.m. on May 5.
