Basketball Recap: Kingdom Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Kingdom Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 54-42 to the All Saints Episcopal School Patriots. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-44 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead All Saints Episcopal School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lauren Brashear, who went 7 of 12 en route to 16 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ella Mendez, who posted 17 points and six steals.

Kingdom Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for All Saints Episcopal School, they pushed their record up to 8-16 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Kingdom Prep Academy has already played their next game (against Ira), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. All Saints Episcopal School is taking a road trip to face off against Southcrest Christian at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Southcrest Christian's defense has only allowed 26.9 points per game this season, so All Saints Episcopal School's offense will have their work cut out for them.
