Mundelein's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Stevenson on Tuesday. The Mustangs walked away with an 8-3 win over the Patriots. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Patriots last Monday, they had to take a 8-7 defeat.
Joey Kafka tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.
