Football Recap: Bruce Randolph Takes a Loss

Bruce Randolph was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 38-6 defeat at the hands of the Coronado Cougars.

Bruce Randolph didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Devojanae Harper and Ty McPherson. Bruce Randolph got some further help from Mia Hernandez: she made six total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defended four passes.

Coronado's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sara Christensen, who picked up 107 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Christensen also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack, making four total tackles, and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception. Another rusher making a difference was Tatiana Gonzalez, who gained 77 total yards and a touchdown.

Bruce Randolph's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Coronado, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Bruce Randolph has already played their next matchup, a 20-0 defeat against George Washington on the 6th. As for Coronado, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-0 loss against Vista Ridge on the 8th.
