Volleyball Recap: Sand Creek Takes a Loss

Sand Creek lost against Discovery Canyon on April 1st, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Scorpions came up short against the Thunder, falling 3-0. The Scorpions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-13, 25-16.

Antonio Barriera paced Sand Creek's offense, picking up six kills. Barriera got some help from Joseph Tran and his 11 assists.

Discovery Canyon can attribute much of their success to Bradley Hocking, who had eight digs and three aces. That's the most aces Hocking has posted over his last ten matches.

Sand Creek's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Discovery Canyon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Sand Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Discovery Canyon, they will take on Fossil Ridge at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
