Baseball Game Preview: Spanish Fork Dons vs. Alta Hawks

For the second straight game, Spanish Fork will face off against Alta. The Dons will be playing at home against the Hawks at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Spanish Fork will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Spanish Fork is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Alta with a sharp 11-1 victory. The match marked the Dons' most dominant win of the season.

Kayden Lambson tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, Nixon Warren was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April. Another player making a difference was Boston Duvall, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Spanish Fork's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-16. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Alta, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-7.
